Almost all businesses uses the advertising and promotion strategy to uplift their products and services status to provide recognition to the market to increase in sales and profitability and basically to promote negative and positive attitude to the viewer’s perceptions. Advertisers want their product ads to last in the mind of the viewers to create an impact of higher thinking and market leadership. These are the reasons why businesses needs continues advertisement thus neglecting the effect to the people of how their thinking have been developed according to the advertisers point of view. Basically the high revenue is the primary concerns of its advertisers.
Talking about competition, the advertisers must think of ways that their products and services are the best and will lead the buyer to achievement and satisfaction claiming that we cannot live without it and it was developed for our welfare when customers bought it and so advertisers will be using the technique of exaggeration in order to convince us to buy their products. All forms of media will be used such as Televisions, Radios, Newspapers, Magazines, and Internet etc. in order to become the leader.
The real effect of positive advertisement goes first to the businesses when they succeeded in catching attention of the target market when they have sold so many products, and to the customers who really need their products and services they even buy this products regularly as they preferred it. So the process of a win- win situation may be present in this cycle. However there are instances that the products and services are being bought without the knowledge of the customers that the effects of advertisement to push them to buy may be the only reasons they have patronize the products and not necessarily their needs. Some advertisement may likewise be “degrading” the thinking of the buyers and morality issue has not been considered as long as the advertiser’s goods are bought. Due to this reasons attitudes and characters especially among the youth have been dramatically distorted. Therefore immoral advertisement is like a silent killer in the minds of the viewers. They have influence the subconscious minds of the customers and they use it as if it is a part of their lives. Government cannot help but to impose the law of controlling such low morality advertisement. But again even the government may be afraid to lose tax collection and unemployment to the people if they have banned these products on advertising.
Let us take a critical analysis of how the following products are present in the market and why they have gain market acceptance because of the power of advertisement as to how the attitude and morality are highly degraded. “Cigarette smoking is dangerous to your health” though we can visualize these labels in all brands this paragraph to do not appeal to the smokers. But this one does “The Marlboro man lives on”. Even if they know that smoking is one of the primary causes of death because of at least 4000 harmful chemicals that goes through your body when you inhaled it, but still the consumers continues to patronize such products.
Same with all forms of Alcohol and Spirits, these products have been highly accepted in the market and usually the leading causes of countless deaths like car accidents, crimes, and even corruption to minors. As the song goes “Beer is good, I like beer when I am sad I like beer when I am glad” is a totally catchy song but absolutely insane and disgusting to promote such unhealthy products. Thinking that this commercial was sung by a drunken individual who circled around the room, this way they make fun of themselves and enjoy such market acceptance and basically use the products because of fun they have thought about themselves as real man.
Sex sells especially in cyber world where girls are served just like a products, pornography are unstoppable in Asian countries, they even do it at home where lots of foreign customers usually gain an instant access to their websites that is why condoms and pills take advantage of their advertisement they even promote their products as a means for reproductive health issues and safety purposes. These definitely ruined the morality and culture among girls and women who chose to participate just to earn a living. All these products and more are the real enemies of morality to people to fall into trap of powerful advertisement.
