Modern technology continues to grow be leaps and bound that almost every 6 months a new device and gadget will soon be released in the market place thus the old one will soon be obsolete leaving it all behind in your stockroom or closet. Do you still remember when was the last time you wrote a letter of sympathy to your old friend from other country or in your family to the province? Do you still remember how you waited log for their reply? Or when was the last you hold a gold old telephone that you use to put your fingers on that little hole to dial the number of the person you want to talk to? I bet you are holding a cell phone right now texting with friends and watching TV or using the internet for communication.
This modern cellular phone appeal almost instantly to individual even children and adult would definitely love to have this kind of gadgets that it personal and highly advance. Sometimes this gadget is becoming a status symbol that shows the modern lifestyle that replaces and kills the old ways people use to do. All those technology and old folks habit has become a memory of the past or a part of the study in history in school. More so the changing patterns and peoples discipline has also changes while the modernization and industrialization evolved.
In every country around the world children use to play physical activities outdoor, can you still remember the enjoyment of the outdoor games while you were playing in the hide and seek or the trembling when you go to the farm to fly a kite? Outdoor playing nowadays has been replaced by computer game of killing themselves in combat battle in Special Force or Counter Strike or the happy Plant versus Zombies. All this gameplay creates virtual reality world that has been in the mind of the children nowadays that may cause in different kind of ailment including obesity and skin disease due over exposure to radiation.
Children to parent relationship have been negatively affected. Unlike before, that family use to gather together during weekend to talk about little and serious personal feelings that is a healthy bonding initiative, now those family affairs has been diminished. Sad to say children would like to face their I-pad or laptop or PSP rather than greet their parents when they come home. Family ties have been affected heavily by this technology that shouldn’t be the case. Children and students simply rely on Information technology to make a research because of the simplicity and speed that the internet has been offering so the books are mostly closed unless otherwise the electricity runs out.
Almost everyone has been expose to danger of involvement in sexual activities through exposure of porn websites that is available even for children and parents simply forget about it because of the past paced economy that that will have to attend to their job rather than protect their children from their stigma. The modern day courtship have replaced the classic romance of Shakespeare where men will need to show their love through constant intimacy through home visit or serenade and poetry but it has been replaced by a simple text messages or calls that they can easily court a girl anytime in just a few clicks of a button. Teen-ager can now reach the other side of the world to view their chat mates information and see their pictures and video through the use of social networking sites that created so much crime when used by fraudulent individual.
Industrialization have created a worldwide problem that destroy the crater of the earth because of fossil fuels that reaches the skies and polluted the natural gases that goes back to our world to produce excessive heat changing the climate condition and destroy the only world that we’re living in. the modern civilization will continue to use their vehicles to pollute the air and factories will continue to produce their goods that also destroys the quality of clean water when they throw their liter.
While modern technology and industrialization have overtaken the world and we all benefited into this enormous changes in our daily life, it also replaces the natural beauty of oneself. People seem to grow weary by running at all times in a hurry for an instant gratification that they may lose something if they remain calm. All these technology revolutions have somehow replaced the good old morality of people and family to enjoy the slower pace in life and appreciate the little things around them including the beauty of a flower, mountains and rivers that has always been a wonderful creation that is made by God.
