HISTORY OF MANAGEMENT THEORY


 


                        Management of business has been a significant concept and a significant learning since it became a popular course in schools offering business courses. Management theory are normally found in every business course and training courses that are normally funded by companies for employee improvement. This study would not dwell however on the course itself.


            This study would like to dwell more on its application. This study will primarily focus on a particular organization in New Zealand, and analyze whether the five major principles of scientific management is incorporated in their organization.


            The five major principles of a scientific management are known to be standardization, selection, training, supporting workers and elimination of interruptions and lastly, productivity and performance based awards.


            This study will basically be descriptive in nature, since it will basically observe the application of those five mentioned principles in the management and how it is implemented in the organization. Questionnaires may be given out to employees and to those who have undergone a course in management to properly assess their view on the current management. The study will analyze the impact and the effectiveness of the knowledge in management theories when applied in real business or organization.


            At the same time, this study will discuss the history of management. It will likewise include some a brief discussion on the principles for better understanding of the readers.


            This study will be beneficial to business establishments and business organizations that are planning to provide proper management training to their employees and to the management department as well.
