Teacher-Student Relationship in Tanzanians Colleges

Introduction

In education, there is always a need for improvement to satisfy the need for intense learning. The educational framework and the pedagogical concept of the educational settings cannot be effective if there is no communication. Through the quality of the communication between the teachers and the students, there is a establishment of a relationship.

Background of the Study and Problem Statement

It is identified in the very beginning that through the collaboration, a certain work can be done. This same philosophy is also applied in the educational settings. In the simple scene inside the classroom, teachers are helping each other to provide the right approach or material in learning. Students themselves are also helping each other to study the subject that is hard to master. Furthermore, the introduction of the teacher-student relationship is a great collaboration between the lecturer and the learner. From the idea that quality education can came from the collaboration or innovating the ways of learning, does the teacher and student relationship is effective in Tanzanians colleges?

Research Objectives

The research values the topic much and established the certain objectives. The first objective is to explore the role of the teacher in fostering the education and development of the students through the pedagogical programs. The second objective is to build strong socio-cultural aspects in the higher education through the relationship of the teacher-student that can support the knowledge and learning. And the third objective is to emphasize the importance of the relationship in supporting the education in pedagogical settings.

Research Questions

The study is supported by some questions to help achieve the main topic of the research. All of the questions are created and serve as the engine of the study.

1.      What are the achievements of the teacher and student relationship in pursuance of education?

2.      What are the interventions applied in the colleges to strengthen the relationship of the teacher and student?

3.      Is the relationship between the student and teachers are effective in facilitating the knowledge?

Literature Review

The focus of the teacher and student interaction is mainly on the supervision or facilitating the education. The teacher is the facilitator of the education and teaching in a very large number of students is a true burden for the teachers. Therefore, there is a need for the strategies to accommodate all the lessons and learning of the students. In addition, the clinical supervision model applied in the pedagogical context can reduce much of the anxiety that is very usual inside the classroom. Through the supervision of the teachers, the objectives in learning can be attained. The teacher applied different style and approach in teaching and through the behavior of the teacher and their students, as well as the learning environment; there is a great improvement in learning. In addition, through the approach of the teachers in learning, the analysis and dialogue became an effective teaching technique, most especially in sustaining the teacher-student relationship (1998; 2002). School may not be so friendly with the student that is why there is a need for a strong teacher-student relationship. The relationship is not only important in learning but also in the understanding the situation of the students. Teacher plays an important role in this relationship because they are the guardian of the students. They are the one who understands the different behaviors of the students and the teaching methodologies are typical on the higher education therefore, the need for a strong relationship is an example ( 2007). The quality of teacher-student relationship is the keystone for all the aspects of classroom management (2004).

Methodology

The applied method in the research is the interview method. Through this method, the teachers and students can give their own ideas on how effective their relationship can be. In addition, the interview can record the other important issues regarding the relationship and scopes the other suggestion that both of the teachers and student have in mind on how to strengthen the relationship of the teacher and student.

Analysis

A strong relationship between the teachers and students with an additional caring enables at-risk youth to make their life and education worth living for they can cope with the changes. The changes that may occur can be in the range in technology or the pressure in the choice of their course. Through the relationship, the students can face the world with full of confidence.

Conclusion

The relationship of teacher and students should be implemented in every part of the pedagogical context. There should be a support from the leaders and the students should welcome the communication being offered to them.
