END OF TERM ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT ESSAY
We have witnessed a successful sporting year behind us. Our success is due to our unfailing unity, commitment and dedication to the vision and mission and the goals that we have set for our organization. This year was not a walk in the park, as a 5-year old organization we were held with setbacks and challenges from the time we organized our group, the brainstorming of our formal vision statement and goals and the setting up of our office and sports facilities. But those have never deterred us from championing our cause and reaching our organizational and individual potentials.
The major obstacle that we surpassed was the lack of funding since as an independent sports organization we were partly subsidized by the school which we addressed through organizing several sports tournament. The tournaments have tested our capacity for conquering challenges and we proved ourselves we can. The tournaments that we organized have put us in a position that we have never imagined could bring us. We have hit three birds with one stone – fundraising, attracting people and sponsors into our organization, and spreading news about the existence of our organization.
Fundraising. We have at least ten major sporting events organized within the span of 5 years. These tournaments were organized for the purpose of raising funds and promote a healthy sports competition and camaraderie through sports. But we got more than what we strategically targeted. The revenues that we earned from our tournaments were outstanding. We were therefore able to utilize our money through several activities that we believed were necessary for our organization in the long-term.
We organized teambuilding activities for our athletes and coaches. We sent our sports coaches to trainings and workshops to build more on their skill and confidence. We also spent a good deal on the improvement and acquisition of new and quality sports equipment and facilities. We set honorariums for our coaches, free energy drinks during rehearsals and uniforms for our team. More importantly we have promoted a new philosophy in the sporting discipline which not only emphasized on the physical nutrition of our athletes but also on the holistic development of all the members of our team.
Attracting People and Sponsors. The tournaments brought helpful people into our organization who gave us the much needed feedback for improvement – both negative and constructive criticisms. These are the people we formally listed on our social network – our future sources of help and the people we will be helping and partnering with in the future. Likewise, the advertisers and sponsors have challenged us to push our capability further and make proactive and innovative changes in our organization. We admire them for giving us the healthy challenge and in return they recognized our system of organization our passion and sincere intent to promote our sports activities. We have also made a positive mark on our school administrators who have supported our activities to no end. With our success, it is possible that we will be fully funded by the school in the future.
Establishing a Good Name. Our school sports organization has established a good name among other schools, social groups and sponsors because we upheld our values of sportsmanship, professionalism and integrity. This is important to bring us closer to the network of all sports organizations. And this is important to bring in more sponsors who will be supporting our future sporting events.
Supported Outside Charity and Sporting Events. We shared with the community and our social networks the blessings that we have enjoyed. While we were helped and supported we also gave back by participating in charity and sporting events. Our participation is a commitment to our organizations’ goal which is to carry on one of our very important functions, which is our social responsibility. We have given back to the people who supported us and given back to the community that cradled us.
Looking back, I believe that we have achieved more than what we have set our goals for: such as the acquisition of new equipment and facilities, the training and development of our athletes and coaches, a large network of individuals and sponsors, an existing fund for the next term’s activities and a good name in the sporting industry. The credit of all our achievement goes to all of us who have dedicated and committed our time and energy to the love of sports.
Finally, I’d like to thank everyone for the unwavering support throughout the five wonderful years that I have served as a sports organizer and likewise I welcome the incoming sports organizer a successful year ahead.
