VACATION IN CAPE MAY

Early in the morning during our travel we’ve passed the Washington street north headed towards the gateway beautiful places from the Garden State Parkway drive and finally we have reached the entrance at the end of the street. As we loaded our belongings, a warm welcome of staffs greets us as they guide us to the direction of the place. After a few conversations they have taken us to a restaurant where they offered us a buffet of sumptuous meals from meat and fresh sea-foods and appetizing dishes that made us full. We have just rest a few minutes and finally tour around the place.

We have seen lots of restaurant as we land on the ground so we decided to take a snack and taste other appetizing sea-foods they have offered us.  We also have the opportunity to relax on their white sand beach and experienced the crystal clear water. We have seen small fishes swim along with us. Kayaking is also fun, there is no way to describe the emotions  I have felt when I have seen the different kinds of sea creatures inside the body of water lots of sea shells and fishes and turtle and sea eagles surrounds me. One of my friends even catches one turtle but the life guard does not allow us to play with the creatures so we just let it go to the shore.

The tour guide takes us to the bus of Delaware to visit the wildlife refuge, camp they told us that this hectares of land still exist a natural habitat of animals that leave openly in land and caves and trees and so we don’t want to miss this scenery.  As we approach the refuge site we are welcomed by the flocks of migratory birds in different species. According to the people this place is the resting and feeding area for migrating birds each spring.  This refuge also adopted some wild animals. During our tour we have seen big animals like wild cats, baby giraffe, mouse dear and big lizards and even tigers and some forms of monkeys all around. Some are in cage and some are freely living.

As we cruise around the island loaded in one of their cruise ship called the “Cape May Spirit” we have seen the beautiful sunset and felt the strong wind around our bodies we indulge ourselves in the strong waves as it approach the ship.  After a few hours we can’t see any signs of direction were we are headed since the horizon have been partly covered by clouds and the sea are still silent. The tour guide shows us that we are approaching the places where dolphins and whales settles so get ready with your cameras, and finally there they came. We have seen sightings of the so called Humpback whales and Finback whales, they were such amazing creatures some are so big and some are not. As they jump around the vessel so close and so strong and it seems like their tails are waving to people to greet us. And maybe I can say that this giants are harmless to people since they show no signs of danger when they approach us.

Dolphins are everywhere and it seems like they are happy playing with the huge crowd of people watching them. Some groups of dolphins even show us tremendous acrobatic ability in circle and jumping in the air.  What a great crowd pleaser they are and what a great experience I have had. Crowds continue to shout and enjoy endlessly during the entire course. These dolphins are so close as if you could almost reach them in your bare hands.

Our last place to visit is the Cape May lighthouse in Delaware another major attraction and a good place to visit. This place is obviously quiet. In the center of fresh waters coastal marsh and ponds, forested islands and varied upland makes it a good location to view almost all the wonderful sceneries and viewing wild animals on the land.  Up in the light house, here you can see the 360 degree of sightings of various lands and islands and spectacles of Cape May. Undoubtedly this brings us wonderful feelings.

So we made sure that every memory in Cape May is here in our cameras. The memories of this place will never leave in my mind and I will keep this wonderful place in my heart forever.
