The Sinner, the Skeptic and the Son

Introduction

God knows what’s been playing inside our minds every minute and every second of our whole life, but do we really know what’s playing inside his? Do we really know what His plans are for us and how He thinks of us as a person? Does it matter with Him if we are gay or straight? Do we need to be criticized all the time just because of our sexual preferences? Is it more inhuman and violating against the law of God? Do the irrational philosophies occupying our minds enough to serve as a basis of such accusations and judgments that we tend to impose to the other member of the society? If we think that being homosexuality is evil then what do we think we are right at this moment of our life?

When we were a child, none of us know what path leads to us and what direction we’re going to take. As much as possible, we are all provided with good examples so that in the future we will become a better person. We adapted the fact between the difference of the good and evil but as time goes by, as we become mature enough to understand things, we become more curious about what life really is. We savor every moment of our freedom. We haven’t notice that some of the things that we are into are definitely beyond our control and by that time we already realize that we’re slowly losing track. Obviously, we are the one making choices for ourselves. And whatever our choices may be, we must consider that in the end what matter is that we’ve become what God want us to be. A person who has patience, trust, humility and faith regarding what gender he has.

Pretenders or Sinners

In this world of sin, everyday, we are always engage with different circumstances in life. Apparently, such cruelty includes a lot of deprivation and degradation of our being especially in the case of the gays and lesbian in the community. Never wonder how painful such insults being thrown upon them? These people are also human. There are still part of the society and still a son of God. How can we manage to treat them as they are the source of all the mess? We tend to see things only on the side that is favorable for us. But what if we are the one who’s into their shoes? Do we have enough courage to face the world everyday with positive views?

All of us here are sinners. All of us violated the word of God. We’ve already lost our innocence since we’ve committed ourselves to the earthly doings that we’ve all been craving for. It is part of our everyday lives that we encounter the continuous battle between right and wrong. We’ve been struggling so hard for it but the fact they we’re only humans indicates that we are weak to fight these urges. Most of the time, we end up losing because we’ve always landed on the wrong side. And although we know that it is wrong, we still find ourselves so inclined into it up to the point that we are all hooked up to the addictive taste of sin.

But who are the sinners? Who are the real ones and who are the pretenders? Is being gay a sin? Is being in love with the same sex is? Is that really a crime? Can’t they have the right to raised there own family? More and more debates are already done regarding this complicated matter. And it is always summed up to a not so anticipated ending. The opinion of every one is weigh systematically. Some agrees and others don’t. But when will the argument stops? What is really the appropriate decision for it? Should religion tackle a deeper understanding to it as well as the government? Won’t God be able to forgive them? It was no surprise that a lot of queries were produced every time this topic is involved, especially if the word marriage and homosexual takes place.

Pleasure and Passion

The sacrament of marriage usually acts as a seal that binds two people together who both came from two different worlds. They voluntarily addressed their selves in this consecrated element of the church to unite them as “one flesh”. But what if the marriage is going to be with the same sex? Does the same concept retain? Most of the churches objects to the same sex marriages because for them it is not only a violation of human right but as well as a violation of the law of God. The concept of the word homosexuality in the mind of most people simply means erotic attractions and immeasurable sexual activities among the same gender. Their idea about the third sex becomes too limited and narrow. They have concluded already that it will only be a cause of much destruction to the morality of the individuals. In some point, they are right. But how about the other members of the third sex who is not include in that category? What about the other members of the third sex who still believes in the idea of a long-term relationship and the idea of the sacredness of marriage? Can’t we remove the concept in our minds that gays and lesbians are only meant for sexual pleasures and not for a stable relationship that opposite sex can have? Again, where is the equality of rights here? They haven’t done anything wrong except for the fact that they been in love with the person of the same gender.

Forgiven or Rotten

The bible says, God created man for woman and woman for man, but even in the bible shows that there are also gays in the early period of time. Actually, God didn’t hate the gays and lesbian persons itself; He hates the wrong doings of them. They’ve been associated always with lust and sex that’s why it creates a negative connotation to most of the people as well as in the churches. Just like a straight man and woman, they have also committed a sin but it doesn’t mean that they need to be condemned for the rest or their lives just because of their chosen sexual preferences. Everyone who have sinned against the law of God deserves a second chance because God is always willing to forgive. He still considers every one of us His son and He will always lay his forgiving hand on us. In Gods perception, there is equality among His people. God cares for everybody and even with the homosexuals. He also teaches us to care for others and by that, maybe He can accept the fact about same sex marriage as long as the relationship between the persons was based on the Gods teachings. A rotten fruit may look and smell awful but soon it will become a new plant that will bear fruits. Let us remember that behind the obscurity there will always be a positive thing that will happen.

Conclusion

Gay and lesbian, man and woman…are all humans. They may differ regarding their gender, their ability, their behavior and point of view; nonetheless in the eyes of God they are still equal. We should pay respect to each other as part of the virtues of God teachings. Although there are still a lot of disapproval that arises within the same sex marriage, as Christianity stood up for their beliefs that this act is immoral while others are still fighting that members of the third sex should be free from criticize. At the end of all the arguments and confrontations within this issue, what really matter is the attitude and behavior of the person. It is how he deals with his everyday life, his relationship with his family, friends, co-employees and very important his relationship with God. Regarding the gender, it is how he complies with all the things around him.
