Impact of the rewards system on the employees’ job satisfaction in insurance industry in Sri Lanka


 


1)     The amount and kinds of rewards received by Sri Lankan employees working in insurance organizations directly impacts job satisfaction.


2)     Since the rewards that people receive is strongly proportional to performance, performance-based rewards increase employees’ job satisfaction.


3)     If rewards are proportionate to performance, productivity increases along with job satisfaction of the employees.


4)     Rewards that are both appropriate and fair lead to increased job satisfaction.


5)     Job satisfaction is the degree of one’s job is valued through reward systems.


6)     Reward systems have psychological dimensions of work leading to job satisfaction.


7)     Reward system is a strong predictor of all facets of job satisfaction.


8)     Reward system supports job satisfaction when there is reciprocity between behaviors and rewards.
