Research Focus: The uniqueness of their card design is part of what has driven the success of Wordplay Greeting Cards. In the past, WGC had been known for its creative and unique cards and messages more so than other competitors in their industry. However, one of the factors identified in the early stages of the consultation was lack of innovation. That is, the public has slowly been changing their attitudes concerning Wordplay Greeting Cards and the view of their products is not as positive as it used to be. In fact, many former customers used the word “stale” to describe the current product line. The purpose of this research is to review the concept of creativity and innovation on the job and how to instill these values in the workplace.
