China’s WTO accession and Turkish clothing industry in European Union market


 


Brief Statement


Accession of China’s World Trade Organization (WTO) plays a vital importance towards active operation of Turkish clothing industry into the EU market and the impact can be positive or negative depending on certain agreements made for the business. Global trade business policies are affecting the textile industry and it can be an alarming truth if not well planned and organized accordingly.


 


Research aims/objectives


The aims and objectives of this research can be recognizing of some WTO policies towards textile business pointing to China’s accession of WTO and to be able to know why the latter may be applicable to the global business as applied for Turkish clothing into the EU market stature as well as to explain and analyze research approach and apply into textile success, and the pressing need to determine how might WTO may influence the business environment and nature? Furthermore, the utilizing of insights from literature study and from research based information of China’s WTO, EU market and Turkish clothing, the need to investigate business policies and regulations if the business will have an entry into the Chinese market and to some other markets into global context. Then, to propose a research driven mechanism as to how business trade, the WTO process outcome into business suability upon realizing effective research approach. The research will be illustrating the importance of positive oriented trade with resources WTO regulations and policy, allowing textile business to assume conformity and ethical grounds upon giving proper literature search and updates into the research awareness, the international trade decisions must be prevented from within spontaneous textile study agenda into the global market domain.


 


Statement of the problem


For the problem statement, WTO policies towards textile business pointing to China’s accession of WTO will depend on such effectiveness and the lack of those in every aspect of the business in textile and that its role are manifesting failure of WTO policies mostly, the ones being found in textile business literature has focused on certain questions related to why WTO policies towards textile business fails in sudden happening and that WTO issues are recognized from within the market. However, there is little research specifically exploring the link between WTO policies towards textile business pointing and China’s accession of WTO, have possible gap in the research study. No one would seriously challenge the idea that China’s accession of WTO will be able to complete success of Turkish clothing in the EU markets for global textile trading and the explaining how and why WTO policies towards textile business have straightforward assumption of trade assurance. Literature Overview


The business experience shows that WTO has been sensitive to maintaining the balance between trade and non-trade values by giving its economic and political dimension into the textile industry as connected towards building of better EU markets as well as systems of the global trading, the influence into the right perspective of the business and China’s entrance policy based on the WTO policies and standards. Thus, the ensuring stature that China’s accession of WTO works well for a positive benefit into the Turkish clothing business under WTO processes (WTO Press Release, 2006). “Despite being the largest textiles exporting country in the world since 1995, further development of the Chinese industry is constrained by its unique ownership and industrial structure, largely the legacy of the planned economy. In terms of industrial structure, valuable financial resources are being drained through the existence of tens of thousands of SMEs proliferating all over the country. A number of them are supporting a significant proportion of the fiscal budgets of financially independent local governments” (Yeung, 2004, p. 942)


 


Methodology Overview


The methodology seeks to generate empirical data to inspire measures for WTO policies and China’s for textile business execution. The study will adopt qualitative approach, using focus group relating to Turkish clothing companies who desires to engage business in China and the link towards the EU markets. Several procedures are applied to carry out rigorous data analysis through survey questionnaire upon presentation of WTO research and textile business oriented findings and other methodology, such as through case study utilization, to be used as well as adopting WTO and textile ways creating textile business surveys in a questionnaire style of construction as applied on several Turkish clothing trade.
