*outline of the company’s generic strategy with supporting examples from its activities.
*balance between external and internal analysis [close to 50;50 but not more than 60;40 in any case]
*use of appropriate tools, techniques and models of analysis [these may for example, incude Porter's 5 Force analysis, financial ratio analysis, financial trend analysis, core competencies, PEST, SWOT and any other thechniques such as industy life cycle or competitor analysis]
