Abstract


 


This study seeks to investigate the issues on environmental concerns and economic behavior of companies and how they are being resolved. Moreover, this paper shall determine the most appropriate strategies and technological innovations on how to cope with these problems. The data were gathered through the use of a researcher-made questionnaire, which was answered, the rank & file employees of business community, environmental groups and government departments concerned on business and environmental matters. The researcher wanted to know how these respondents perceived the SCM programs and its effect on the business and the environment.


The respondents are aware of the implemented and instituted programs on SCM.  The study shows that generally there is a positive attitude towards SCM by personnel and the managements alike.


In addition, the study also shows that they are aware of the programs that are instituted in company and other companies regarding business and environmental strategies. Likewise, the study shows that the employees show support towards the actions of the management in order to boost SCM programs. This is reflected in the interpretation of their responses in the survey. Thus, There is a significant correlation between environmental concerns and the growth of businesses. Consequently, the more efficient the Supply Chain Management, the less problems economic activities can pose on the environment
