“Social, political, or economic conditions can alter the nature and meaning of art.”
Almost all of the people are very aware of the happenings of our country nowadays. Political and economic crisis are what is our country is facing right now. People who go against the government keep on making rallies on the streets to ask the president to step down from her office. Opposition at the same time makes some moves in order to find ways on how to make the president resign from her office. Others try to ask the people to affix their signature as a people initiative to make the evidence strong against the president.
This situation really affect greatly to the nature and meaning of art. Not just only the political and economic condition, but also the social condition of the country. It is because; the art of having a good and solemn society is not anymore in its proper existence. Violence is present in every places of the country even in the government offices. The true meaning of art will just only be a part of theory in quite sometimes because of these situations. Its nature may never be known to the next generation if these situations will keep on going.
There is no problem with the kind or form of government we have, but the real problem is within the people itself who govern the country. There’s no need to have a charter change. What is going to be change is the character itself of the government officials or even of the people. If this is to be done, then the true meaning and its nature of the art will always be a part of our daily life, not just now but until the episode of human’s existence.
